This usually includes dashes to the stores for a "day after Thanksgiving" sale in order to save a few dollars. Smarter gift givers do their Christmas shopping throughout the year. A few enthusiasts start a Christmas countdown for the next year the day after the last Christmas, or New Years day, saving them from dealing with crowded shops.
A search on Google or other internet search engines for "shopping days till Christmas countdown" gives a list of websites offering the exact number of days, hours, minutes, and sometimes seconds through a Christmas countdown clock.
Graphic and animation artists create Myspace Christmas countdown widgets and icons for use in user and website layouts. This includes a Christmas countdown calendar and Christmas countdown poems written by children and adults alike. Free Christmas countdown screensavers are available to download. He receives two turtledoves the next day and three French hens the day after. In Christmas Countdown, Kelly takes the listener through a hilarious series of mishaps all from an overly gracious gift giver. The man, surrounded in bird droppings and flaming cows, is fuming by the story's end.
